Department of Housing and Public Works 20 Year Certificate

General Manager Sci Qual International, Ben White, was delighted to present Deputy Director-General, Graham Atkins with a special milestone certificate for the Department of Housing and Public Works’ Building and Asset Services Division achieving 20 continuous years compliance to ISO 9001.

This is an outstanding achievement that requires the cooperation and commitment of the whole team. Building and Asset Services now joins a very select club of organisations that have achieved this 20 year milestone

About Building and Asset Services

Building and Asset Services leads the department’s procurement and contract management of building, construction and maintenance services for the Queensland Government.

This service area was formed from the amalgamation of QBuild and Project Services. It is committed to providing more cost-effective and efficient services to Queensland Government agencies across Queensland.

Sci Qual International has certified QBuild since 1995 and Project Services since 1993.

Building and Asset Services procures and contract manages building works, and maintenance and facility services for schools, hospitals, police stations, public libraries and other public facilities.

It outsources most of its work to the private sector including both professional and trade-based services, particularly in areas where there is a strong, reliable and competitive market.

Mr White congratulated Building and Asset Services on its 20 year milestone. ’It is always rewarding to work with an organisation with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement,’ he said. ‘We are delighted to have had this long-term relationship with the team at Building and Asset Services.’
